New Registration Process for PAYE Customers

What is Changing?

In order to appoint Irish Tax Rebates as your agent to manage your tax affairs, there’s a new process you need to follow. Revenue has introduced a digital system called e-Linking, which adds an extra step to securely grant an agent access to your tax records.

Key Changes:

  • Previously, you signed a registration form to allow an agent to act on your behalf.
  • Now, you must also approve the request online using Revenue My Account (for PAYE workers) or ROS (for self-employed individuals and business owners).

Who Does This Affect?

This change applies to:

  • PAYE workers who use  Revenue My Account
  • Self-employed people and business owners who use ROS

If you are already registered with Irish Tax Rebates, you don’t need to do anything—this only applies to new agent requests or adding new services.

How to Complete the New Process

Follow these steps to approve Irish Tax Rebates as your tax agent:

  • Fill in our 60 second application form – This will allow us to submit the request to Revenue.
  • We submit a request – Irish Tax Rebates will initiate the agent-linking request through Revenue’s system.
  • You receive a notification – Revenue will send a notification via Revenue My Account (we will send you an email prompting you to approve our request once it has been made)
  • You log in and approve the request – This is essential! Without your approval, we cannot access your tax records or process your tax rebate.
  1. Log in to your My Account
  2. Scroll down to “Manage My Record” and click “My Enquiries”
  3. You should have an open My Enquiry titled “Agent – Client Link Request”. Open this notification.
  4. Review the agent link request and click “Approve Link Request”

I Can’t Access My Account, How Do I Approve the Agent Link Request?

If you cannot access your myAccount because you have not registered yet – then this new process will not affect you. We will process your registration as normal.

If you cannot access your myAccount because you have forgotten your password, you will be able to obtain a new temporary password by selecting “forgot password?” on your myAccount sign in page. You will need to provide your

  • PPS Number (PPSN)
  • Date of Birth
  • Contact Information (Phone Number & Email Address)

What Do You Need to Do Now?
